“Do you know of any parent who would give his hungry child, who asked for food, a plate of rocks instead?  Or when asked for a piece of fish, what parent would offer his child a snake instead?  If you, imperfect as you are, know how to lovingly take care of your children and give them what’s best, how much more ready is your heavenly Father to give wonderful gifts to those who ask him?” – Matthew 7: 9-11
Do you find yourself too often thinking, praying and living in the “how much less” of God? Have you ever thought, “If I were able to heal this person, or start a revival in the nations, or provide for the financial need of this ministry, I would do it.” Yet, when you pray, do you find yourself trying to talk God into doing something? Do you really think that you are more willing to see the sick healed than God is? Do you really think that you desire revival in the nations more than God does? Are you more willing to give support for the spread of the Gospel than God is? If you think so, you may be living in the realm of “how much less”. You may be operating from the low place of, “How much less willing God must be to give good things to those who ask Him.”
Instead, you can live in the realm of “how much more”. You can operate from the high position of, “How much more willing and ready is God our Father to answer prayer, than any human would be ready and willing to meet the need. Faith is based on knowledge. The more knowledge you have of God’s will and goodness, the better your faith will work. Think, “how much more” is God ready. Pray from the understanding of, “how much more” ready and willing is God to heal, bring revival, and meet the needs of people than you are. God knows how to lovingly take care of people, give them what is best, and He doesn’t need to be talked into it. God is READY! Are you?
